The 2010 election
March 30, 2010
Last week, reports of the housing market facing a double-dip recession, with March having the slowest rise in prices for years could have a big effect on the spring sales time.
With spring now upon us, the last thing we want is for the markets sales to suddenly draw to a close with punters not parting with their money!
With the election so close, expect buyers and sellers to hold fire in wake of any news that may effect them in the long and short of it.

Is Spring the best time to sell houses?
March 15, 2010
Answer: Yes.
Why? Well, it’s the time of year where we ermerge out of the doom and gloom of winter and start to look to the future pastures of life, which include that new Softop car you’ve wanted, or that dream of moving to the countryside.
Those in the market will rush to put their properties on the market and may cause prices to fluctuate as the sun starts to hit the UK.
If you are selling your house this spring, make sure you get your garden ready for spring, to show of it’s features and make a couple viewing the house aware of what the summer will look like sat in the back with a glass of wine. You get the idea.

Alternative energy for your house build
March 15, 2010
With Gas and Electricity prices going through the roof, why not save some money by storing the sun’s energy coming in from the other side of the roof!
Solar power isn’t the only alternative energy home owners in the UK can use, however, in the middle of London, one can assume there isn’t much garden room or planning permission to erect your own wind farm.
Solar power can be expensive in the short term, however with government plans and incentives in the works to give back around a thousand pounds for those adopting the technology, it might be worth looking into.

Finding the right bargains
March 10, 2010
When developing a property it is always important to budget and to budget well.
If you want to be successfull at keeping on track, it is crucial to keep as tight to your budget as possible. To do this you have to save money without cutting corners. Shaving the pennies off each aspect of your build without sacrificing too much quality will be what makes or breaks your profits when it comes to sell.
Doing most of the work yourself seems to be the key point. If you have the know how and motivation to do most of the tasks without hiring professionals then you will save a lot of money. Although I must stress that if you don”t have the know how, I would still hire as much help as possible on tasks concerning electrics, gas, plumbing etc.
Good luck with the budget!
